B2B

B2B refers to business-to-business marketing and transactions. The term is now used in industry forums, describing capital goods marketing to enterprises or large organizations. In these interactions, one business will communicate directly to another, working to supply it with products or services. Originally, this term was  introduced to describe electronic communications between multiple businesses, distinguishing these communications from those businesses that engage in transactions with individual consumers or customers (B2C) or with the government (B2G). One B2B example is the relationship between a wholesaler and a manufacturer.

Many businesses are now leveraging email marketing, email marketing newsletters and social media to connect with other businesses. From these B2B communications, businesses connect with partners to mutually benefit from resources or with vendors to acquire and implement services. Common vendors include email marketing solutions providers and social media marketing companies.
